This was HackBay 2021
By Anne Christin Braun
Being one of our all-time favorite events at ZOLLHOF, we are happy to being able to already look back at our 5th annual HackBay this year.
During these past years we welcomed more than 1100 visitors from 20 nationalities. Our ingenious hacker teams built more than 75 prototypes and we reached 450.000 people via Social Media.
This year we celebrated our second COVID-safe online HackBay edition. While we would have loved to see everyone around it was great to have attendees and speakers from all over the world join us remotely instead. It was impressive to see what the teams built in just 1,5 days. A big high five and congrats to the three winning teams Kurzschlussfest (best technical implementation, Quadrat (best use case) and Voice of Pizza (overall best).
In order for time not becoming too long until the next HackBay edition happens in 2022, we’ve prepared a fine little selection of 2021 highlights just for you.
Here we go with a glimpse into the challenges, speakers, pitches and of course, winners of this year’s HackBay.
